An exhibition featuring the Barcelona Cards goes on display at the Sala Ciutat from 22 April to 4 July 2013.
Conceived by Franc Aleu and created by the designer Peret, the “Barcelona Cards” have provided the source of inspiration for “El somni” and the medium for putting together twelve the courses that make up the libretto to this work.
Given its clear commitment to the culture of innovation, Barcelona City Council is adopting these cards that are configured as a creative tool and which invite exploration, reflection, fluidity and action. They are the keys that open secret compartments of the imagination.
That explains why these cards have also been the tools used for formulating the content of the exhibition, entitled “Més enllà de la creativitat” [Beyond creativity] now on at the Sala Ciutat.

Arts Santa Mònica
El somni exhibition will be located in the cloister of the arts center Arts Santa Monica (Barcelona) from May 9th to June 7th, 2013. It is divided into twelve spaces corresponding to the twelve episodes of Undine Astrid’s Dream.
Through the course of these twelve areas, visitors can feel the different sensations that main character feels along this dreamlike journey that takes you through the life cycle.
They are spaces that incorporate many visual elements that express the effect of many feelings and sensations that make us question many aspects of our existence as a space, pleasure, pain, war, or death.
A story that has many different elements, objects, images, thoughts and music through these twelve areas of the cloister, as twelve different passages that lead to each other, culminating in the central area where the dinner el somni will take place.
